Delivery Manager - Ref: R00148
We are looking for a Delivery Manager to enhance our operational efficiency and support our growth objectives using a combination of agile and traditional methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist teams with prioritisation of work, ensuring alignment with company strategy
- Help to define scope, objectives, and success criteria in collaboration with the Delivery Lead and other stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, tech leads and architects to facilitate planning, execution, and delivery
- Support the Delivery Lead in maintaining key documentation, including plans, user stories, backlog, and sprint planning
- Facilitate meetings, such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Track and report progress, identifying risks, issues, and dependencies, and working with the Delivery Lead to implement effective mitigation strategies
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement
- Support the Delivery Lead in stakeholder management, ensuring timely and effective communication to manage expectations and foster strong relationships
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, tools, and practices
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in Delivery management and contribute to the team's knowledge base
Key Requirements
- Adaptable and pragmatic, happy to ‘pitch in’ to assist in solving problems
- Familiarity with waterfall and agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and related tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
- Experience working in an agile environment, preferably in a technology-focused organisation
- Strong organisational and time management skills, frequently handling and prioritising multiple tasks
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Detail-oriented mindset, with a focus on quality and continuous improvement
- Pragmatic and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and evolving organisation
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing relationships with external vendors
- Excellent people skills with the ability to manage challenging stakeholders and negotiate conflicting priorities
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
This role will play a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of key company initiatives. Specifically initiatives that enhance our operational efficiency and support our growth objectives using a combination of agile and traditional methodologies. Working closely with the Delivery Management team, Product, developers, and stakeholders to ensure the smooth and efficient execution of initiatives.
