Purpose of the role
The HRBP Serves as an internal consultant on all people / HR-related issues, encompassing the full generalist HR role within the business. Acts as employee champion and change agent, assessing and anticipating HR-related needs, working proactively within the business.
The aim of the role is to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organisation.
Accountabilities of the role
- Business Partnering
- Embed HR across all functions
- Coach Managers to deliver consistent people support, and pre-empt / mitigate people issues
- Manage and guide managers through ER issues
- Partner with management and teams to enhance work relationships, drive engagement and increase productivity and retention
- Guide leaders to coach and develop teams through the performance management process.
- Work with managers to improve and sustain employee engagement
- Work with the Talent Acquisition Partner and Head of HR to deliver against the HR objectives;
- Attract, Retain, and Develop
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of technical / legal process to support the business to always act appropriately
- Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual
improvements in efficiency of department and services performed - Work as figurehead / advocate for high performance culture we are trying to build
- Provide guidance / input on potential restructures, workforce planning, talent management and succession planning
- Acts as a temperature gauge on the business, providing and encouraging transparent feedback to the Executive / wider leadership team.
- Supports the Talent Acquisition team

- Essential skills, experience and qualifications
- Relevant experience as an HR Business Partner operating in a fast-paced and high growth environment
- Experience of working with managers to develop people towards high performance
- Strong skills in change management, talent development and performance management
- Ability to build strong trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders, with the confidence to challenge decisions where necessary
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on internal customer service; ability to coach and empower others.
- Strong active listening skills
- Detail oriented with strong organisational skills and evidence of self-motivation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal and able to confidently interact with people of all levels.
- Proactive by nature - makes things happen
- Professional and understands the need for confidentiality as a cornerstone of the role
- CIPD qualified or equivalent
This is a hybrid working role with the expectation that the successful person will regularly
attend our offices at Shipton-under-Wychwood and Bishops Cleeve for team days, meetings or as required for business needs.
