Role Overview
As Sustainability & Compliance Manager for VoCoVO you will lead the
organisation’s sustainability initiatives and ensure compliance with all relevant
environmental, social, and governance (ESG) regulations. This is your chance to take ownership of sustainability at VoCoVo, with the freedom to innovate and drive real change. This is a hybrid role, requiring one to two days per week in the Shipton Under Wychwood office OX7 6XU and our Cheltenham Office GL52 8YQ.
Requirements for the Sustainability & Compliance Manager
- A Strong background and experience in sustainability, compliance, or environmental management. (3yrs - 5yrs + in a Sustainability role)
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, compliance standards, and sustainability frameworks (e.g., GRI, CSRD, WEEE).
- Experience with sustainability reporting tools and frameworks, such as EcoVadis and Sedex.
- Strong leadership, project management, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to keep abreast of industry trends and proactively implement best practices.
Responsibilities as Sustainability & Compliance Manager
- Develop and implement a sustainability strategy aligned with VoCoVo’s corporate objectives.
- Identify sustainability risks and opportunities, focusing on responsible business practices that address environmental, social, and economic factors.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations, including WEEE, CSRD, and ISO 14001, while managing accurate reporting on all relevant metrics.
- Collaborate with department managers to implement resource management strategies like waste reduction, energy efficiency, and responsible sourcing.
- Engage with key stakeholders, including internal teams, suppliers, customers, and regulators, to promote sustainability initiatives and ensure organisation-wide buy-in.
- Conduct audits and inspections to monitor compliance with sustainability and regulatory standards.
- Prepare and submit detailed sustainability and compliance reports for senior leadership, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders.
- Deliver training programmes to raise awareness of sustainability goals and compliance requirements, encouraging eco-friendly behaviours across the company.
- Monitor emerging regulations and sustainability trends, and lead continuous improvement projects to enhance sustainability performance, including waste reduction and energy management.
- Be VoCoVo's Sustainability & Compliance thought leader, attend shows and be a sustainability brand ambassador
Salary
Salary range: £60,000 - £67,000
