As Hardware Project Manager you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and executing hardware development projects within VoCoVo. You will work cross functionally with engineering, product, marketing, sales and customer service teams, taking projects from concept through to production and launch. As Hardware Project Manager you will have a technical background in Hardware projects, exceptional project management skills (agile & waterfall) and strong experience of leading teams in fast-paced scale-up environments.
This role has a core focus upon hardware and as such we are seeking applicants with previous experience of project managing hardware development projects. Please also note that to apply for this position you must be based in the UK and have the legal right to work in the UK.
Requirements for Hardware Project Manager
- 5 + years of experience in Hardware or Engineering project management.
- A proven track record of successfully delivering complex hardware projects (e.g., consumer electronics, industrial equipment, medical devices).
- Strong experience working in both Agile and Waterfall project management environments, alongside an understanding of the nuances between hardware and software focused environments.
- An exceptional understanding of hardware development life cycles, including design, prototyping, testing and production.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with manufacturing processes.
- Continuous improvement focus; the ability to collect and act upon feedback from stakeholders to improve processes and outcomes.
- You will be self-motivated and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Responsibilities as Hardware Project Manager
- Defining project scope, goals and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Developing detailed project schedules, including key milestones, resource allocation and deadlines.
- Establishing and maintaining project documentation, including project charters, timelines and risk management plans.
- Facilitating team collaboration and communication, ensuring alignment between all stakeholders.
- Monitoring project progress and performance using tracking tools such as MS Project, Jira or other applicable tools.
- Managing project budgets, tracking actual spend versus forecasted budgets.
- Ensuring that projects remain within approved budgets and adjusting plans as necessary to avoid overspend.
- Working proactively to identify potential project risks, including; technical, supply chain and scheduling issues. Reporting risks and potential impacts to senior management and necessary stakeholders.
- Ensuring that all project stakeholders are informed of any changes to timelines, budgets or scope.
- Collaborating with key stakeholders across various departments such as Marketing, Customer Service and Sales on the Go-To-Market phase.
Salary
Salary range: £50,000 - £60,000
