Role Overview
As Delivery Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of our Technology roadmap to our customers. Working across a blend of agile and traditional delivery methodologies, you'll collaborate closely with the Delivery Management team, Product, Engineering and key stakeholders to ensure initiatives are delivered smoothly, efficiently and successfully.
Please note, to apply for this position you must be based in the UK and have the legal right to work in the UK. This role is largely remote but would require visits to our Oxfordshire or Cheltenham offices approximately once a month for team meet-ups/key meetings.
What we're looking for
You are adaptable and pragmatic, with a hands-on approach and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to help solve problems and keep delivery moving forward.
Strong experience working with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban, alongside tools such as Jira and Confluence.
You have previously worked within an agile environment, ideally in a scaling technology company.
Proven experience of working with and coaching Agile Delivery teams, including estimation, planning and embedding best practices.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple activities and competing demands.
An excellent communicator, you are able to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
A detail-oriented approach, with a passion for quality, continuous improvement and delivering great outcomes.
Experience working with Agile at Scale frameworks such as SAFe, LeSS or similar approaches.
You are comfortable operating in a dynamic and evolving environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities and business needs.
Strong experience working with cross-functional teams and managing relationships with external vendors.
You take a people-first approach and have the ability to manage challenging stakeholders and negotiate conflicting priorities.
You are self-motivated and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
You have a Scrum Master certification (e.g. PSM, CSM, SAFe Scrum Master) or equivalent Agile accreditation.
What you'll do
Support teams in prioritising work, ensuring delivery remains aligned with business objectives and strategic priorities.
Help to define scope, objectives and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Developers, Product Managers, Tech Leads and Architects to facilitate planning, execution and delivery.
Maintain key delivery artefacts and documentation, including plans, user stories, backlogs and sprint schedules.
Facilitate Agile ceremonies and team events, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
Track and report delivery progress, identifying risks, issues and dependencies, working with the Head of Delivery to implement mitigation plans.
Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages innovation, teamwork and continuous improvement.
Support the team in stakeholder management, ensuring timely and effective communication to manage expectations and foster strong relationships.
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the team, identifying opportunities to enhance processes, tools and practices.
Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in Delivery Management, contributing to the team's knowledge base.
Maintain high standards of Jira hygiene, ensuring boards, backlogs, workflows and reporting remain accurate, organised and up to date.
Salary
Salary range: £58,000 - £63,000
